This Golf Tournament is named in honor of Jim Lynch, a DY Graduate from the Class of 1985. Jim passed away in March of 1998 from Arteriosclerosis. Jim was a great friend to many in the Yarmouth, Dennis, Boston and San Francisco communities and his friends wanted to find an appropriate way to honor his memory.

The tournament will be open to the first 128 players PAID IN FULL. THE FIRST 60 PLAYERS REGISTERED WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL GIFT IN ADDITION TO THEIR BAGS. It will be held Sandwich Hollows Golf Course in Sandwich on Saturday August 16, 2008 with a Shotgun Start at 1:00 P.M. The tournament will be a scramble format featuring Award Holes such as Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and a Vegas Hole. To further assist in the fund raising there will also be a Putting Contest and raffle. A dinner, raffle and auction will follow at the Golf Course Banquet Room.

The entry fee is $125 per player or $500 per foursome. Entry fee includes Golf, cart, gifts and dinner. We are also offering dinner for those that do not play or are unable to play for a cost of $50. Also, if you are unable to attend any of the events, your donation is greatly appreciated Our goal for 2008 is $11,000.

All net proceeds will go to worthy charities. In 2007, we raised over $10,000 for the event through entry fees, sponsorships, donations, and the raffle. There were over 100 items that were raffled and auctioned.

The tournament is open to the public. Sponsorships play a large part in the success of the tournament and we hopeful that all who sponsored last year will participate again this year. We also hope that we can add another 25 sponsors for 2008. Each and every sponsor is recognized at the awards dinner and patronized throughout the year. Raffle items are also needed to assist in the fundraising. Lastly, we had a spectacular group of volunteers last year and I look forward to seeing all of you again.
